Frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about the EasyEdge platform, industrial data governance, deployment, scalability, and getting started.

Platform & Industrial Data

What is EasyEdge?

EasyEdge is an Industrial Data Management and Industrial Data Governance platform that connects industrial systems, contextualizes and models their data, governs how structures evolve, and delivers trusted data to applications, cloud platforms, analytics, and AI.

How do EasyEdge Studio and EasyEdge Nodes work together?

EasyEdge Studio provides centralized configuration, governance, deployment, versioning, and monitoring.

EasyEdge Nodes execute those governed configurations locally at the industrial edge, close to equipment and systems.

Can EasyEdge manage multiple factories or sites centrally?

Yes. EasyEdge is designed for distributed industrial environments.

Teams can centrally manage reusable configurations, models, mappings, and deployments while Nodes execute locally across different gateways and sites.

How does EasyEdge keep industrial data standardized as systems change?

EasyEdge Data Governance manages the relationships between source structures, Asset Mappings, Data Models, and governed outputs.

Changes can be controlled and propagated through governed structures instead of requiring each deployment to be rebuilt independently.

What industrial systems and platforms can EasyEdge connect to?

EasyEdge uses Connectors for industrial protocols, automation systems, messaging technologies, APIs, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications.

Connector capabilities can include Assets and Applications in SignalOps and Sources and Sinks in DataOps.

Does EasyEdge require industrial data to be processed in the cloud?

No. Connectivity and data processing run locally on EasyEdge Nodes at the industrial edge, while EasyEdge Studio provides centralized engineering, governance, and management.

This keeps execution close to equipment while enabling central control.

Deployment & Scale

Can EasyEdge run on existing industrial edge hardware?

Yes. EasyEdge Node is designed to run across a wide range of industrial edge environments and architectures, including ARM, x86, and MIPS-based systems.

What are the minimum requirements for EasyEdge Node?

EasyEdge Node can run with a minimum footprint of approximately 128 MB RAM and 128 MB disk, depending on the required connectors, workload, and deployment configuration.

Does EasyEdge require Docker or containers?

No. Containerization is optional. EasyEdge Node can be deployed in environments where Docker is available, but it does not depend on containers to operate.

How does EasyEdge support high availability?

EasyEdge supports centrally managed High Availability configurations using Primary and Replica Nodes. This provides more resilient edge execution for industrial environments where continuity is important.

How are configurations deployed and updated across sites?

Configurations are centrally managed through EasyEdge Studio and deployed to the appropriate EasyEdge Nodes. Versioning and centralized deployment help teams maintain control over changes across distributed environments.

How does EasyEdge provide visibility into industrial data health?

EasyEdge Data Observability provides visibility into areas such as data freshness, volume, schema, and lineage, helping teams identify data-quality and pipeline issues across distributed deployments.

Getting Started & Commercial

How do I get started with EasyEdge?

The best starting point is to Book a Demo. We will discuss your architecture, industrial data requirements, deployment model, and the systems you need to connect.

Can we start with a pilot and scale later?

Yes. EasyEdge can support initial projects and then expand into larger, multi-site deployments using reusable configurations, governed structures, and centralized management.

How is EasyEdge licensed?

EasyEdge licensing is based on usage and deployment requirements. Because industrial environments differ significantly in scale and architecture, commercial proposals are prepared according to the requirements of each project.

Is there a self-service EasyEdge trial?

We currently recommend starting with a product demonstration and discussion of your use case rather than a generic self-service trial.

Can EasyEdge work with our existing OT and IT architecture?

Yes. EasyEdge is designed to sit between heterogeneous industrial systems and the applications, cloud platforms, analytics, and AI systems that consume industrial data, without requiring organizations to replace their existing infrastructure.

Can system integrators, OEMs, and technology partners work with EasyEdge?

Yes. EasyEdge is designed both for industrial end users and for partners building, integrating, or embedding industrial data solutions.

How do I request a commercial proposal?

Start by booking a demo or contacting our team. We will review the required deployment scale, connectivity, data-management requirements, and architecture before preparing the appropriate commercial proposal.
